Goose Lake Association

Billing and Collection Policy

Approved by GLA Board

Property owners who are more than forty firve (45) days past due in paying annual dues or any amount (including fines) due tha Assocaiton will be sent a copy of the bill stamped "Past Due" in red ink.

Owners who are or will be sixty (60) days past due on August 1, October 1, December 1, February 1, or July 1 (the closing dates of our newsletter publication) will in addition be sent a form letter explaining that their name and lot number will be published on a "Past Due" list in the next newsletter. This "Past Due" notice and form letter will be sent approximately fifteen (15) days before the closing date of the newsletter.

For our information property cannot be sold or trnasferred unless all amounts due the Association have been paid. Any amount due will be collected at the closing of any real estate conveyance. Before property can be conveyed the Asscoation gives a written clearance form. These may be requested by the attorney or the title company and are presented at closing.

If "Past Due" amounts become large the Officers of the Board, at their discretion, may place a lien on the property which must be satisfied before the property can be sold or transferred.
