TO THE MEMBERS OF THE GOOSE LAKE ASSOCIATION:

We have had a very wet spring, and our lake levels are the highest that we have seen in years. Our boaters and skiiers have been complaining about the "No Wake" restrictions. I am asking that you please bear with us. Running speed boats and jet skiis during these high water periods will cause erosion problems.

Also, please do no take it upon yourselves to alter any overflow areas becasue this unauthorized action can cause flooding. The dam at Beaver Lake has been tampered with causing high water. If you see anyone tampering with overflow areas which constiutues vandalism, call a board member or the police.

On the brighter side, the beach has a new slide. I'm sure that the kids will really enjoy it, and I might even give it a try. Board Member Greg Domaleczny is the new Campground Chairman who has some new ideas for improving the Campground and Beach. Pat Chirstensen and her lifeguards are ready for the summer season.

We are making progress with respect to repairs by undating what we have while planning for the future betterment of our area for ourselves, our kids, and our kids' kids.

I'm not going to run on, so please follow all the rules of our association. I don't care how many years you've lived here. The rules are for everyone. No one is above the rules.

I'll do my best to set a good example.

Thank you again,

William Lewis, President

Effective immediately (3-10-09), the Goose Lake and Lincoln Lake Estates Home Owner Associations have implemented a No Wake Idle Speed Only restriction on Lincoln Lake due to the extreme high water conditions.

A REMINDER That Beaver and Goose Lake are No Wake Idle Speed Only lakes. Due to the high water conditions, we need your help to control property damage that may be caused from excessive waves and the unsafe conditions that may be present due to floating debris.

Free U.S. Coast Guard Boat Safety Check Available at GLA in June

In an effort to promote safe boating, the Goose Lake Association Lake Patrol Committee has worked with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to setup dates when the Certified Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel could be on-site to perform voluntary boat safety checks for any of our property owners or open members who wish to have their watercraft inspected. For those watercraft that successfully pass the safety inspection, a Safety Inspection Document along with a U.S Coast Guard Vessel Safety Check Decal will be issued to the watercraft owner. The dates, times and locations for the Safety Checks are as follows:

Saturday June 20th

Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel will inspect boats on the water as well as those that are brought to the Lincoln Lake marina on trailers.

Lincoln Lake Marina
